The National Bank of Moldova (BNM), on the recommendation of the IMF, will amend the Regulation on liquidity assistance in emergency situations.
The NBM announced the beginning of the development of relevant amendments to the document and the preparation of a draft resolution of its Executive Committee “On amendments to the Regulation on liquidity assistance in emergency situations”. The NBM clarifies that the amendments to the regulations are due to the fact that in November 2020 the National Bank received technical assistance from the International Monetary Fund to complete and consolidate the operational framework related to providing liquidity assistance in emergency situations. In accordance with the recommendations of the IMF, some changes will be made to the Regulation on liquidity assistance in emergency situations, approved by the resolution of the Executive Committee in 2019. In order to simplify the process of preparing the draft resolution on amendments, the National Bank asks the submission of proposals and recommendations to the bank by February 23 regarding this issue. // 12.02.2021 - InfoMarket.
