The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova, with the support of the EU, has introduced a new model for planning and macroeconomic forecasting
As noted in a statement by the EU delegation in our country, this model was developed as part of the EU-funded project "Moldova is Europe. Support for EU Integration" and provides an integrated framework for forecasting key economic indicators, correlating external economic trends with changes in the real economy and the labor market. Additional improvements are planned for 2026, with a focus on deepening the analysis of capital and financial flows. The model contributed to the development of Moldova's Economic Reform Program for 2026-2028. It will help the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization assess macroeconomic conditions and prospects, thus contributing to the alignment of economic goals with available public resources. By strengthening economic planning, the EU supports Moldova in its efforts to build a more sustainable economy, create better jobs, and raise living standards, while advancing European integration. // 19.02.2026 — InfoMarket.
