The Moldovan Parliament ratified the Agreement with the European Union on our country's participation in the Creative Europe program, with a total budget of €2.44 billion
The program provides a funding mechanism for the development of the cultural and creative industries. Its total budget for 2021-2027 is €2.44 billion and will be managed by the European Commission. This instrument supports the sustainable and competitive development of culture and the creative industries. Moldova will participate in all activities within its cultural, media, and cross-sectoral components. To implement the provisions of the agreement, in Moldova will be established a National Bureau for Creative Europe. Thus, cultural and creative professionals in our country will have access to European funding, technical support, and international cooperation opportunities. This will allow them to develop innovative and sustainable projects, contributing to the diversification of cultural products and job creation. As previously reported, the Agreement between Moldova and the European Union on our country's participation in the Creative Europe programme, dedicated to culture and creativity, was signed in Chisinau on September 2, 2025. It provides that, from January 1, 2026, artists and other cultural professionals will have access to expanded funding and international cooperation opportunities. Moldova will gain access to European funding for cultural projects and will be able to participate in international events and cooperation projects, while young creatives will have the opportunity to develop new skills in the arts and culture. Furthermore, the Creative Europe programme will facilitate the mobility of artists and the exchange of experience between specialists from different countries, thereby contributing to increased competitiveness and visibility of the cultural sectors. This partnership will also diversify the country's cultural offering through the organization of events, exhibitions, film screenings, and performances. The programme will also support the development of creative industries, promoting job creation and stimulating the local economy.// 12.12.2025 — InfoMarket
