In Moldova, 206 km of regional road repairs have already been completed since the beginning of 2025, and another 66 km will be completed by the end of this year - the Cabinet of Ministers
This was discussed at a meeting of the Road Fund Council chaired by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, where a report was presented on the implementation of the Road Fund means allocation program for national roads from January 1 to October 31. It was noted that this year, the government allocated 1.21 billion lei from the Road Fund for regional road repairs—critical investments to improve accessibility between rural and urban areas, enhance road safety, and ensure comfortable daily commutes for thousands of city residents. Currently, the overall progress of these projects is 93%. A total of 2 billion lei was allocated for work carried out from January 1 to October 31, covering regional road repairs, summer and winter maintenance, periodic maintenance, major repairs of roads and bridges, and co-financing road rehabilitation projects. A separate topic of discussion was the preparation of national roads for the winter period. According to the National Road Administration's report, 466 units of road equipment will be deployed on national public roads for winter maintenance work—snow removal and distribution of anti-slip materials. At the same time, the volumes of anti-slip materials and technical salt stored in 39 district warehouses were inspected. In addition, 50 video cameras have been installed on national roads to monitor and visualize winter traffic conditions. To provide prompt information on road conditions during the winter, a 24-hour service will be available at the following numbers: 078337744 and 060477117, or by email at serviciu@andsa.md. Currently, the National Road Administration manages 5,993 km of national roads, including 631 km of high-speed roads, 2,011 km of national roads, and 3,350 km of regional roads. // 09.12.2025 - InfoMarket
