The EU Ambassador to Moldova said this at the opening of Moldova Business Week 2025, the country's most important economic forum. According to her, the opportunities are clear, the direction is clear, and those who act first will benefit the most. Iwona Piórko noted that the EU continues to support Moldova in its development in all areas, and first and foremost in the economic sphere. September marked 11 years since the entry into force of the EU-Moldova Free Trade Area. The EU has become Moldova's main trading partner, and in the last 3 years alone, Moldovan exports to the EU have grown almost 6-fold. In addition, most foreign investment in Moldova comes from the EU, which continues to support the country through the €1.9 billion Economic Growth Plan. The plan has been approved and is being implemented. Moldova Business Week is held from 15 to 19 September, bringing together local and foreign representatives of the business community, public institutions, academic community and investors.
