Government has approved a Diaspora support program for 2026–2028 with a grant component of up to 150,000 lei per beneficiary
The Diaspora Engagement Hub (DEH) program is designed for Moldovan citizens living abroad who represent public organizations, initiative groups, and educational centers. They will be able to receive grant funding for educational, cultural, and civic initiatives. In particular, up to 100,000 lei will be allocated to projects submitted individually by associations or educational centers of the Diaspora, and if the projects are implemented in partnership with organizations from Moldova, the amount will be higher – up to 150,000 lei. Funding may be provided in areas such as education, culture, and civic engagement. The program for cooperation with the Diaspora was launched in 2016. To date, it has funded more than 170 projects implemented by representatives of the Moldovan Diaspora. In 2023, 1.77 million lei were allocated for the implementation of the program, and in 2024, 1.17 million lei. The 2025 budget initially allocated 1.7 million lei, but this amount was subsequently increased to 3.97 million lei. // 20.08.2025 - InfoMarket.
