The Moldovan government will allocate nearly 3 million lei to assist regions affected by natural disasters in May and June

Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced this, noting that the decision was adopted at a meeting of the Emergency Situations Commission. In particular, financial assistance will be provided from the government's Intervention Fund to a number of settlements in the Orhei, Straseni, Hincesti, and Riscani districts, where squalls or heavy rains damaged public roads. In particular, 1 million 449 thousand lei will be provided to the village of Braviceni, the commune of Seliste and the village of Zahoreni in the Orhei district so that the local public administration can repair roads damaged by squalls. Another 220 thousand lei will be allocated to the village of Dolna in the Straseni district to repair roads damaged by heavy rains. To remedy a similar situation, the village of Buteni in the Hincesti district will receive 728 thousand lei, and the village of Singureni in the Riscani district will receive 529 thousand lei. “The government continues to support local communities and provide them with the necessary assistance,” said the head of the Cabinet. // 06.08.2025 — InfoMarket
