In 2024, Moldova achieved the highest wine export volume in the last decade, exceeding $235 million.

This was announced by the government's press secretary Daniel Voda, noting that 145 million liters were exported to 73 countries. The growth was 22% compared to the previous year. At the same time, the most impressive growth was in bottled wines: by 46% in monetary terms. New markets were actively developed: the USA, Germany, the Netherlands. "This is a sign that the sector is maturing and gaining more and more value," the government's press secretary said. He noted that Moldova is reinventing itself to the world through tradition, innovation and courage, and now is the time to invest in image, quality and promotion. "Our wine is the country's ambassador to the world," said Daniel Voda. He recalled that in mid-June this year, Moldovan wine will be in the center of international attention. In particular, from June 16 to 20, Chisinau will host for the first time the World Congress of Vine and Wine, as well as the General Assembly of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). This significant event will bring together more than 300 experts and officials from 51 countries. "This is a unique opportunity to promote the image of Moldova as a country of genuine, high-quality and competitive wine on international markets. We invite everyone to become part of this success story. Support local wine, visit wineries and together let's show the world what Moldova can do!", emphasized Daniel Voda. // 28.05.2025 — InfoMarket
