
The Government of Moldova has allocated an additional 105.47 million lei to support the implementation of projects in the Southern Development Region.
This was reported by the Regional Development Agency "South", noting that these funds will be allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development by the decision of the National Council for Coordination of Regional and Local Development. The Regional Development Agency "South" reported that, thus, for the current year it was allocated a total of 161.58 million lei for the implementation of regional projects. In particular, by the decision of January 22, 2025, 56.11 million lei were allocated for projects in the region, of which 48 million have already been spent, and by the decision of May 23, an additional 105.47 million lei were allocated to consolidate efforts to implement and expand ongoing projects. "By the end of 2025, we intend to complete at least 4 infrastructure projects of great importance for the region, which will directly contribute to improving living conditions and access to public services. This concerns investments in infrastructure, urban development, and basic public services to enhance the economic attractiveness of the region.
