Moldova will receive new financial assistance from the EU to strengthen public policies and develop institutional cooperation

In particular, this is provided for by the Financing Agreement between Moldova, the European Commission and the Hauts-de-France region for the Interreg Europe 2021-2027 (Interreg VI-C) program, ratified by the Moldovan Parliament and signed on 27 December 2024. The program is aimed at improving public policies and institutional cooperation, with a number of priorities: Smart Europe, Green Europe, More Connected Europe, More Social Europe, Europe Closer to Citizens, Better Regional Governance. The program is being implemented in 27 EU countries, as well as in Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. The total budget of the program is 395 million euros - this is non-repayable assistance that can be used to implement joint projects based on the partnership principle. The beneficiaries will have to provide 20% co-financing of the activities included in the projects. The agreement will be valid for 15 years. Thus, central and local authorities, non-governmental organizations, research institutes and educational institutions of Moldova will be able to benefit from EU grant funding. // 22.05.2025 — InfoMarket.
