Moldovan wine is expanding its global presence and attracting increasing interest in international markets – NBVW
This was reported by the National Bureau of Vine and Wine, noting that at the largest international exhibition ProWein 2025 held in Germany, the Wine of Moldova stand was visited by leading professionals in the wine industry interested in cooperation and commercial partnership from different countries: South Korea, China, Japan, USA, Canada, Norway, Belgium, Holland, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Sweden, France, etc. In addition, representatives of the National Bureau of Vine and Wine and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry discussed with employees of the Moldovan Embassy in Germany strategies for expanding the presence of Moldovan wine in international markets and increasing recognition among foreign consumers. The visibility and success of participation in the largest international wine exhibition ProWein 2025 confirm that Moldovan wine is becoming an influential player in the context in which our country is preparing to become the wine capital of the world. Director of the National Office of Vine and Wine Stefan Iamandi noted that Moldovan wine was in the spotlight at Prowein, the most prestigious wine and spirits exhibition in the world, where 46 winemakers from Moldova, gathered under a single wine brand of the country, presented their products and communicated with potential partners and consumers. According to him, this event is all the more important since our country is preparing to become the world capital of wine, hosting the 46th World Congress of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the 23rd OIV General Assembly. In mid-June, Moldova will become the center of world winemaking and the most important platform for discussing further steps to develop and strengthen the global industry. This event is a major opportunity to increase recognition and confirm the status of Moldovan wines and the country as a whole as a producer of high-quality wines among leading delegates and industry professionals. In the long term, this initiative will have a domino effect, attracting new tourists and strengthening the country's position on the world map of wine destinations. As noted by the NBVW, Decanter, one of the most prestigious international magazines dedicated to wine, recently published an extensive article about Moldovan wine. It contains a broad picture of the wine industry and the successes of winemakers over the past decade and is another confirmation of the high quality of Moldovan wines. The article talks about the strengthening of Moldova's position among wine-making countries with an established history. More than 7,000 international medals received over the years are a confirmation of the quality and innovation implemented in the wine sector. // 24.03.2025 — InfoMarket.
