Sale and purchase contracts for private agricultural land up to 0.25 ha will no longer be notarized in Moldova
This is stipulated by the relevant amendments to the Land Code, passed by Parliament in the second reading. This legislative initiative belongs to the Chairman of the Commission on Agriculture and Food Industry Alexandr Trubca. According to the bill, sale and purchase agreements for agricultural land, which do not require notarization, can be registered in the Real Estate Cadastre only if the ownership right of the person selling the property has been previously registered in the real estate register. The document contains a number of amendments to the Land Code, including the introduction of a new category of land from the land fund - lands intended for transportation, electronic communications networks and mining of minerals; introduction of new ways of using agricultural land - for orchards, for agritourism resorts, for pastures and hayfields. Another change is aimed at preserving legal guarantees of free allocation of plots occupied by individual houses. The draft amendments to the Land Code will enter into force from the date of publication in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova). // 21.03.2025 - InfoMarke
