Energy efficiency works will be managed in Moldova through SINEE, a new IT system
Government approved the concept of the Energy Efficiency Information System - SINEE, which will facilitate the management of energy efficiency works and systematize data on energy savings. The new IT solution will be managed by the National Center for Sustainable Energy and all stakeholders will have access to information in the relevant field. The system will include 7 separate information subsystems covering energy performance of buildings, monitoring and verification of energy savings, and utilization of renewable energy sources in a sustainable manner. The portal will provide citizens with public data from all information subsystems and provide online access to services offered by the National Center for Sustainable Energy. At the same time, centralization of energy saving data will enable efficient planning of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to achieve national goals. Thus, the system will contribute to the realization of Moldova's goal of reducing final energy consumption by 0.8% per year, as well as reducing the bills of the population, public bodies and economic agents.
