Moldova's Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization encourages companies to take advantage of the launched first mechanism of state support for investments in the national industry
According to the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova, Dumitru Alaiba, the authorities have put this practical and efficient tool at the disposal of entrepreneurs, and they should not miss this opportunity. As Dumitru Alaiba stressed, this program was created for those who want to develop, but do not have the resources to do so. The government is giving them a lot of support to help them succeed. In particular, the government will reimburse up to 60% of the cost of investment, distributing it as follows: 75% in the form of 50% income tax exemption; 25% in the form of a grant. The support can be obtained if the investments meet the following criteria: they are new investments; their minimum amount is 10 million lei (without VAT); they are made in processing sectors. “In the first 9 months of 2024, investments by Moldovan companies increased by 12%, compared to the same period in 2023.
