
Moldovan government will allocate 60 million lei to compensate economic agents for the difference in electricity prices after the increase in electricity tariffs
This decision was adopted by the Commission for Emergency Situations of Moldova. According to the government, in particular, at the meeting of the Commission, it was decided that economic agents from the food sector and processing industry will receive compensation of up to 50% of the electricity tariff increase for a period of 3 months. The decision aims to assist domestic producers and support their competitiveness. Eligible companies will be notified through the government portal MCabinet/EVO about the possibility of receiving compensation. After that, starting January 27, also on the government portal, economic agents will be able to apply for compensation in a special section. The deadline for submitting requests for compensation is 10 days from the date of the electricity bill. After verification of the received applications and the data provided by the companies, the compensation will be transferred through the state electronic payment service MPay.
