New electricity tariffs for Premier Energy and FEE Nord consumers, including differentiated tariffs depending on the time of consumption, came into force in Moldova on January 10

The corresponding decision of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) was published on Friday in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova) and came into force. Thus, the cost of electricity for Premier Energy household consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kW) distribution networks, has been increased 1.8 times - from 2.34 to 4.1 lei per 1 kWh, and for FEE Nord consumers - by 64.8% - from 2.84 to 4.68 lei per 1 kWh. At the same time, the decree includes tariffs by time intervals. For example, for Premier Energy households, the daytime tariff (from 7:00 to 23:00) is higher at 4.32 lei per 1 kWh, while the nighttime tariff is lower at 3.31 lei per 1 kWh; for FEE Nord households, the daytime tariff is approved at 4.89 lei per 1 kWh, while the nighttime tariff is 3.9 lei per 1 kWh. Differentiated prices depending on the time intervals of consumption can be applied at the request of end-consumers who have metering devices able to register electricity consumption by time intervals starting from January 20. At the same time, starting from today, the new electricity price for Premier Energy consumers, whose electric installations are connected to high-voltage distribution networks (35, 110 kW), increased from 1.87 to 3.29 lei per 1 kWh, and for medium-voltage distribution networks (6, 10 kW) - from 1.68 to 3.51 lei per 1 kWh. The new tariff for Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks (6, 10 kW), increased from 1.9 to 3.64 lei per 1 kWh. Differentiated tariffs were also approved for non-household consumers - they are lower during night hours and higher than the base tariff during daytime hours. It should be noted that the last time the tariffs for electricity supplied to Premier Energy and FEE Nord consumers were changed in March 2024 - then they were reduced by 2.1% and 1.4%, respectively, and before that - in November 2023 - then they were reduced by 7% and 10%, respectively. // 10.01.2025 - InfoMarket.
