In Moldova, the price of electricity for residential consumers of Premier Energy has been increased by 1.8 times - to 4.1 lei per 1 kWh, and FEE Nord - by 64.8% - to 4.68 lei per 1 kWh.

This decision was made on Friday by the National Agency for Energy Regulation. It's about electricity tariffs for residential consumers of the named companies, whose electrical installations are connected to low-voltage distribution networks (0.4 kW). Currently, residential consumers of Premier Energy pay 2.34 lei per 1 kWh for the consumed electricity, and enterprises of Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord, Balti) - 2.84 per 1 kWh. At the same time, the new electricity price for Premier Energy consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to high-voltage distribution networks (35, 110 kW), will be 3.29 lei per 1 kWh, and to medium-voltage distribution networks (6, 10 kW) - 3.51 lei per 1 kWh. The new tariff for Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord consumers, whose electrical installations are connected to medium-voltage distribution networks (6, 10 kW), will be 3.64 lei per 1 kWh. The new tariffs will enter into force after the publication of the NAER decision in the Monitorul Oficial. NAER noted that from January 20, 2025, end consumers with metering equipment with the ability to record the consumed electricity hourly will be able to ask the universal and last option service providers to apply differentiated prices according to the hours of consumption. Thus, reduced prices for consumed electricity will apply for the time interval from 23:00 to 7:00. The “night” price of the Premier Energy supplier will be 272 ban/kWh for consumers connected to medium-voltage networks (6, 10 kV) and 331 ban/kWh for consumers connected to low-voltage networks (0.4 kV). For the electricity supplier FEE Nord, the approved price for electricity consumed from 23:00 to 7:00 will be 268 ban/kWh for consumers connected to medium-voltage networks and 390 ban/kWh for those connected to 0.4 kW networks. It should be noted that Premier Energy asked NAER to increase the electricity price for household consumers by 2.2 times - from 2.34 to 5.13 lei per kWh, and Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord (FEE Nord) - by 1.6 times - from 2.84 to 4.53 lei per 1 kWh. Premier Energy supplies electricity to consumers in the center and south of the country, and FEE Nord - to consumers in the north of Moldova. The last time electricity tariffs in Moldova for end consumers changed was in March 2024. Then, electricity prices for Premier Energy household consumers were reduced by 2.1% - from 2.39 to 2.34 lei per kWh, and for FEE Nord household consumers - reduced by 1.4% - from 2.88 to 2.84 lei per 1 kWh.// 03.01.2025 – InfoMarket.
