In particular, on the margins of the 5th Ministerial Conference of the Moldova Partnership Platform held in Chisinau, they adopted a joint declaration, in which they expressed their firm and constant support to Moldova in the process of its accession to the European Union. France, Germany and Poland congratulated Moldova on the launch of the EU accession talks in June and said that this was possible due to the democratic reforms, the courage of the political leaders and the determination of the Moldovan citizens. The three countries' diplomats praised Moldova's progress, urging it to stick to this course, while pledging to continue providing assistance to Moldova in order to ensure the observance of the EU's fundamental values: human rights, democracy and the rule of law. At the same time, ministers of the three Weimar Triangle states welcomed Moldova's success in countering Russia's destabilizing efforts, and pledged to support the process of strengthening Moldova's resilience and capacity to counter threats from Russia.
