Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will pay an official visit to Moldova on August 31 at the invitation of Maia Sandu
According to the Romanian President's press service, the visit will take place on the occasion of the celebration of the Romanian Language Day on August 31 by Romania and Moldova. The Romanian President is expected to address to Chisinau a firm message of support and encouragement to the Moldovan authorities and citizens in their efforts to reform, democratize, irreversibly implement the rule of law and ensure the European path. Klaus Iohannis will also appeal to all international partners to continue providing Moldova with comprehensive, reliable and sustainable assistance at all levels, especially in the context of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and all the risks arising from this complex security situation.
