The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, noting that the positive dynamics in the reporting period was due to an increase in passenger transportation by road and air transport. At the same time, the largest passenger traffic was served by motor transport and trolleybuses In particular, passenger transportation by trolleybuses in January-June 2024 decreased by 3.9% compared to the same period last year - to 87 million 975.8 thousand, while the number of motor transport passengers (buses and minibuses) increased by 27.4% - to 52 million 367.5 thousand. At the same time, 625.4 thousand passengers used air transport (+19.1%), 309.5 thousand - railway transport (-14.6%).
