
Moldova plans to receive external government loans in 2024 to support the budget in the amount of 9 billion 158.3 million lei (equivalent to $483.8 million).
This is stated in the materials of the Ministry of Finance for the draft Law on the State Budget for 2024, which was approved by the government on Friday. As noted, in particular, next year Moldova plans to receive the IV tranche of an IMF loan in the amount of 2 billion 590.5 million lei (equivalent to $136.84 million) and the first tranche of a new program supported by the Financing and Support Mechanism for Achieving Resilience and Long-Term Sustainability (RFS) - 1 billion 855.1 million lei (equivalent to $98 million), macro-financial support from the European Commission - 1 billion 977.9 million lei (equivalent to 95 million euros), World Bank DPO loan - 757.2 million lei (equivalent to 40 million euros), a loan from the French Development Agency - 1 billion 249.2 million lei (equivalent to 60 million euros) and a loan from the European Investment Bank - 523.8 million lei (equivalent to 25.16 million euros) within the framework of the project for the acquisition of locomotives and the restructuring of the railway infrastructure and loan 204.6 million lei (equivalent to 9.83 million euros) from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. // 01.12.2023 – InfoMarket.
