Energocom to purchase about 311 thousand MWh of electricity from Moldavskaya GRES in August 2023 at the previous price of $66 per MWh; this volume will cover more than 88% of electricity demand on the right bank of the Nistru/Dniester River
The state-run Energocom reported this, noting that a schedule of electricity supplies for August 2023 has been agreed with Moldavskaya GRES. According to the forecast on electricity consumption in August, presented by service providers and system operators, the total projected consumption demand in August for the right bank of the Nistru/Dniester river is about 353 thousand MWh, of which about 13 thousand MWh will be provided by thermal power plants and renewable energy producers, while about 311 thousand MWh will be purchased from Moldavskaya GRES. "The purchase price of electricity produced by Moldavskaya GRES will remain unchanged, given that the purchase will be based on a contract valid until September 2023 inclusive. The remaining volumes of electricity needed in August shall be covered by the purchase in Romania on the OPCOM exchange (Romania's electricity and gas market operator)," Energocom stated. // 28.07.2023 - InfoMarket.
