These data were presented at a meeting organized on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister. The Customs Service collected the largest amount of monthly income in March this year - 3.1 million lei (+22.7% compared to March last year). The largest volume of revenues administered by the Customs Service in the first half of the year came from VAT - 11.26 billion lei, or 0.4% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, the share of this income item decreased from 72.2% to 29.1%. Excise taxes formed 22.8% of the Customs Service revenues (+2.7 percentage points compared to the first half of 2022): 3.7 billion lei, or 19.1% more than in the same period last year. Customs taxes and payments amounted to about 1.3 billion lei (+27.1%), while their share in the structure of income increased from 7.6% to almost 8%.
