
Moldovan government approves the National Development Plan for 2023-2025, which will require 51.7 billion lei for the implementation.
It is a medium-term planning document developed in accordance with the provisions of the "European Moldova 2030" program, the government's activity program "Good Times for Moldova" and international commitments, including those under the association agreement. The National Development Plan is focused on 10 main objectives: increasing incomes from sustainable sources and mitigating inequalities; improving housing conditions; ensuring relevant and quality education for all throughout life; improving culture and personal development; improving physical and mental health through a modern and efficient healthcare system that meets the needs of each person; establishing a solid and inclusive social protection system; ensuring efficient, inclusive and transparent governance; building a fair, incorruptible and independent justice system; promoting a peaceful and safe society; ensuring a healthy and safe environment. According to Prime Minister Dorin Recean, in the next 3 years, the government plans to repair about 480 km of roads, repair 3 bridges over the Prut and 1 over the Nistru, launch new industrial platforms, build at least 500 social housing facilities for 1500 beneficiaries, build regional hospitals in Balti and Cahul, ensure energy efficiency of 9 other hospitals in the country, etc. The total value of measures included in the 3-year National Development Plan is about 51.7 billion lei, 70% of which will be covered from the budget. The rest of the expenses, including those related to large investments (in the construction of roads, hospitals, development of the railway sector, etc.) are planned to be implemented with the support of external partners. // 28.02.2023 - InfoMarket
