The WB Group will provide Moldova with a $43.76 million grant to finance state budget needs.
In particular, this is envisaged by a grant agreement on the Multi-donor Trust Fund for co-financing the program "Moldova, Emergency Response, Resilience and Competitiveness. Development Policy Operation" which was signed December 9, 2022 between Moldova, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association, and on Wednesday, the Parliamentary Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance approved ratification of this document and will submit the relevant bill for consideration in two readings in the plenary session of the upper legislative body. The grant is to be paid to Moldova in one installment by May 31, 2023. As InfoMarket agency earlier reported, Finance Minister Dumitru Budianschi noted that Moldova has fulfilled 8 actions under the mentioned program to get this grant.
