Termoelectrica and CET Nord's heat tariffs will increase by 31.6% and 44.3%, respectively, starting October 1.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) Board approved the respective decision at Wednesday's meeting. In particular, the tariff for heat energy from Termoelectrica, was increased from 2169 to 2,854 lei per gigacalorie (excluding VAT), or by 31.6%. The CET Nord heat tariff increased from 2,115 to 3,052 lei per gigacalorie (+44.3%). At the same time, the regulator approved new prices for electricity production from Termoelectrica and CET Nord combined heat and power plants. For Termoelectrica consumers, the price of electricity was increased from 335 to 454 bani/kWh (excluding VAT), or by 33.5%, and for CET Nord consumers - from 311 to 457 bani/kWh (+47%). The new tariffs were approved by ANRE, taking into account the increase of the average gas purchase price by about 50% against January this year, due to the growth of average annual inflation forecast for 2022 from 6.9% to 21.9% and growth of inflation in the USA in 2022 from 3% to 8.3%. It is worth noting that the tariffs approved by ANRE are somewhat lower than those requested by the companies. Thus, according to the applications registered on September 27, Termoelectrica asked for a heat tariff increase to 2921.76 lei/Gcal and to 481.05 bani/kWh for electricity (excluding VAT). CET Nord has asked for an increase in the heat tariffs to 3192 lei/Gcal and electricity tariffs to 461 bani/kWh (excluding VAT). As InfoMarket News Agency earlier reported, the tariffs for heat supply services in the largest municipalities of Moldova - Chisinau and Balti, provided by Termoelectrica and CET Nord, as well as for the electric power produced by them, were last modified in January 2022. // 28.09.2022 - InfoMarket
