The Premier also highlighted the importance of what will happen after Moldova Business Week 2022, as the authorities are expecting new investments and jobs for our citizens. Natalia Gavrilita noted that the war in Ukraine has changed the trajectory of economy and business not only in the region, but also in the world. In this situation, Moldova has shown itself a stable partner, providing places for refugees and transit for products. Also, the war in Ukraine has affected the energy sector, given the increase in the price of natural gas supplied by Russia. Natalia Gavrilita assured that the government is promoting energy efficiency and diversification of energy resources. However, she said that this winter will not be easy. The country already saves electric energy, as all the EU countries do, and we make reserves of natural gas: Moldova has already bought almost 35 million cubic meters of gas for the strategic reserve and will continue to buy more gas.
