Agricultural producers will be compensated from 30% to 100% of the excise tax on diesel fuel, the costs for these purposes will increase from 200 million to 320 million lei.
This is provided for by the draft amendments to the Regulation on the procedure for distributing funds from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for partial compensation of excise taxes on diesel fuel in 2022. According to the project, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and enterprises of the zootechnical industry will be reimbursed 100% of the excise tax on diesel fuel (2980 lei per ton), and other categories of agricultural enterprises - 30% of the excise tax (894 lei per ton). It is also proposed to correct the formula for calculating the amount of compensation: if the current version of the regulation takes into account the area of cultivated crops and the average consumption of diesel fuel, then in the new version the amount of compensation will be calculated based on the total volume of fuel used, the density coefficient of diesel fuel (0.845 kg/l), the coefficient compensation, depending on the category of the beneficiary. Compensation will be provided from January 1, 2022. The maximum amount of compensation per beneficiary is 100 thousand lei. It is assumed that documents for compensation can be submitted throughout 2022, but no more than one application per six months (until June 30 - the first half of the year and from July 1 to November 15 - the second half of the year) or per year. The deadline for applying for diesel fuel compensation in January-June 2022 is July 31. At the same time, it is proposed that farmers who applied for compensation starting from April 29 will be able to submit an additional application or supplement an already submitted application for compensation in the first 4 months of the year. The draft regulation must be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, proposals for the project are accepted until June 29: https://bit.ly/3HXziCA. // 27.06.2022 — InfoMarket
