Micro, small and medium enterprises can receive grants up to 500 thousand lei under the Digital Transformation Program.

The Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector of Moldova (ODIMM), together with the government and the USAID program, launched a new SME Assistance Program, the funds for which will be allocated under the Future Technologies in Moldova Project funded by USAID and Sweden. SMEs will receive grants for the digitization of their business in the amount of up to 500 thousand lei. At the same time, micro-enterprises will be able to receive up to 250 thousand lei. In both cases, the grant will be issued in two tranches: 70% after the enterprise's own contribution (30% of the total project budget) and 30% after the project is fully completed. The funds can be directed to the purchase of operational programs, equipment, CRM systems, the introduction of electronic commerce, payment for "clouds", cybersecurity services, etc. Companies operating in Moldova can participate in the program. Enterprises must operate for at least 1 year and submit reports to the National Bureau of Statistics. Companies should not be indebted to the National Public Budget. In addition, enterprises must have competent employees necessary for the implementation of the investment project. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, who was present at the launch of the program, noted that the priority for the authorities was to find tools for the development of entrepreneurship. The digital transformation program is just the transfer of best practices for business growth and development. The prime minister stressed that by launching this program, the authorities expect economic growth for both SMEs and the country as a whole. She assured that the authorities will continue to implement financing and assistance programs for entrepreneurs. Head of USAID Mission to Moldova Scott Hocklander noted that digital solutions such as supply chain management, e-commerce, automation and digital marketing will increase the resilience and competitiveness of Moldovan enterprises not only before the current crisis, but also in the future. As a reminder, the project "Technologies of the Future in Moldova" supports the development of a digital, creative and environmentally friendly economy. The project with a budget of $32.8 million is designed for 5 years (2021-2026) and aims to work in the strategic sectors of Moldova: information and communication technologies (ICT), mechanical engineering, light industry, creative industry and digital media - to increase their competitiveness and integration into the global market. // 24.06.2022 — InfoMarket.
