Moldovan government plans to allocate 1,300 tons of food wheat from the state reserve.
According to the draft government decree, the Material Reserves Agency will allocate wheat of the 2018 harvest to economic agents on the basis of a contract, with the provision of a bank or financial guarantee covering the cost of the allocated volume of wheat. Only economic agents with no debts to state reserves will be able to receive wheat, priority will be given to producers of bread and bakery products, and if there are no applications from them, other applicants will be able to claim this volume of state reserves. Companies will have to return the food wheat released from state material reserves from the harvest of the current year before November 1, in the same volume and quality. It should be noted that the wheat is allocated in order to refresh the state reserves: the storage period of the f wheat allocated from state reserves expires in the III quarter of this year. The draft is to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. // 03.05.2022 - InfoMarket.
