Moldova: The list of gas compensation beneficiaries from among non-household users was extended by 3 more categories of economic activity.

Also, the deadline for applying for compensation for all non-household consumers has been extended from April 24 to May 13. This decision was adopted by the Emergencies Commission. According to the Ministry of Economy, the list of beneficiaries of the 17 categories included in the Classifier of Economic Activities of Moldova includes the following industries: manufacture of bakery and flour products (C1072); manufacture of other food products (C1082); manufacture of paper and cardboard products (C1721). Non-household consumers who buy gas from natural gas suppliers, work in the areas specified in the decision of the Emergencies Commission, and whose payments for natural gas (excluding VAT) consumed monthly amount to at least 5% of that month's sales will be eligible for compensation. Compensation will be 100% of the difference after increasing the regulated prices for natural gas supply, but not more than 1.5 million lei per consumer and will be offered for the period from January to March. Compensation for the first 500 cubic meters of gas consumed during the month for which compensation was paid will be excluded from the amount of compensation, according to the Emergencies Commission’s provision of February 1.
