Prices for oil products in Moldova will continue to grow against the backdrop of rising oil prices on international exchanges due to the situation in Ukraine - ANRE.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) announced this, noting that the rise in prices for oil and, accordingly, for oil products will lead to a further increase in the maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in Moldova. According to the ANRE, only during the session on March 1, the price of Brent oil rose by 11%, which prompted the international community to resort to an extraordinary way of unlocking the strategic reserves of the International Energy Agency. In turn, Platts quotes, reflecting prices for oil products, have grown over the past 2 days by only $77 per ton for gasoline and $113 per ton for diesel fuel. As a result, as of March 3, ANRE set the following marginal retail prices for the main standard oil products: petrol COR 95 – 24.73 lei/liter (+0.19 lei compared to the previous day); for diesel fuel without a commercial name - 21.51 lei/liter (+0.26 lei). ANRE stated that it is monitoring the development of the situation in the region and is making constant efforts together with other institutions responsible for providing the state with the necessary amount of fuel. At the same time, ANRE thanks oil companies that quickly responded to the agency's call to provide assistance in the form of fuel for state institutions that manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine. Thus, for the indicated needs, more than 20 tons of gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas were collected and sent to recipients. // 02.03.2022 - InfoMarket
