The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, noting that, in particular, from January to December 2021, prices for food products increased by 17.46%, and for non-food products - increased by 12.06%, and the cost of services provided to the population increased by 11.59%. According to the NBS, monthly inflation in December 2021 reached 1.66% against 0.32% in December 2020. Consumer prices in December 2021 increased by 1.66% compared to the previous month, against the background of price increases for food products by 2.22%, for non-food products - by 1.07%, as well as an increase in tariffs for services rendered to the population - by 1.72%. According to official statistics, in December 2021, compared to the previous month, the following food products grew in price: grapes - by 10.1%, beef - by 4.9%, wheat flour bread - by 4.5%, chicken eggs - 4.3%, cookies and gingerbread - by 3.4%, potatoes - by 2.6%, vegetables - by 2.5% (including cabbage - by 13.1%, onions - by 7.8% %, fresh mushrooms - by 5.7%, root crops - by 5.3%, garlic - by 3.7%), milk and dairy products - by 2.5%, sugar - by 2.4%, rice, pasta, noodles, bread crumbs and pretzels, rye bread and other bread, chocolate, chocolate sweets and other cocoa products, natural and instant coffee, butter, fresh fish, pork, poultry, salt, mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar - up to 2 %. At the same time, during the specified period, prices for the following products fell: citrus fruits - by 6.6%, cucumbers - by 5.4%, tomatoes - by 4.1%, exotic fruits - by 2.7%. As noted by the NBS, as far as non-food products are concerned, then in December 2021, compared with November 2021, the increase in coal prices was more pronounced - by 7.2%, plants and flowers - by 6.7%, firewood - by 5.3%, furniture and household appliances - by 2.2%, materials for home maintenance and repair - by 1.8%, boots, shoes and other footwear - by 1.7%, clothing and large household appliances, electric and gas stoves - by 1.5% each. At the same time, in December, compared to November 2021, prices for diesel fuel decreased slightly - by 6.5%, gasoline - by 4.7%, liquefied gas in cylinders - by 2.6%.
