As reported by the press service of the Moldovagaz, Moldovan-Russian enterprise, this price was set on the basis of the pricing formula included in the current contract. The price increase, relative to November and December prices, is due to the continuing growth of quotations on European gas exchanges, as well as the cost of the petroleum products basket, to which the purchase price of gas is tied. At the same time, Moldovagaz JSC announced that it will make every effort to timely and fully pay for current supplies and, as a result, guarantee their continuity. As previously reported, the purchase price of gas purchased by Moldova under the contract with Gazprom in November 2021 was $450 per 1,000 cubic meters; in December 2021 - $460 per 1,000 cubic meters.
