Moldova and Gazprom agreed to extend the previous contract for gas supplies to our country for a 5-year period with the pricing formula proposed by the Moldovan side.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development reported this. As noted, negotiations between the Moldovan delegation and Gazprom ended in St. Petersburg. The parties reached an agreement in principle on the pricing formula for the "blue fuel", the audit of the Moldovagaz’ debt and the need for further negotiations on the establishment of a payment calendar. It is emphasized that, on the basis of agreements, the previous contract between Gazprom and Moldovagaz will be extended for five years according to the pricing formula proposed by the Moldovan side. Gas supplies under the new contract are expected from November 1, 2021. In October, Moldova received gas on the basis of a month-long contract extension with Gazprom, in an insufficient volume. The missing volumes were purchased during this period on the spot market, through Energocom, at market prices. Other details are not provided. // 29.10.2021 – InfoMarket
