
Moldova: Investments in long-term assets amounted to 3 billion 840.4 million lei in the first quarter of 2021, up 14.8% compared to the same period in 2020.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) informed that, in particular, investments in long-term intangible assets in January-March 2021 amounted to 126 million lei and increased by 48.1% compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, investments in long-term tangible assets increased by 13.9% - up to 3 billion 714.4 million lei (96.7% of the total). According to the NBS, at the same time, in the first quarter of 2021, investments in machinery and equipment amounted to 1 billion 401.9 million lei, up 21% compared to the same period in 2020. Investments in non-residential buildings (buildings and constructions) in January -March 2021 amounted to 476.5 million lei (-4.7% to the level of the same period in 2020), investments in the construction of residential buildings were 613.9 million lei (-6.6%), investments in engineering structures were equal to 495 million lei (+ 11.4%), investments in vehicles were estimated at 558.1 million lei (+ 51%), and investments in other tangible assets - 169 million lei (+30.4 %).
