During a briefing on Friday, Aureliu Ciocoi, the Acting Prime Minister, said that the National Commission for Health Emergencies has decided to establish a shorter working hours for trade establishments and catering establishments. Thus, shopping centers and non-food stores will work until 18:00, while food and other markets will work from 7:00 to 15:00. Restaurants, cafes and other catering establishments will be able to receive visitors only from 7:00 to 20:00, while the rest of the day they will be allowed to deliver food. The commission banned the organization and holding of mass and solemn events, scientific conferences, fairs and exhibitions, sporting events, school Olympiads, etc., banned the activities of theaters, cinemas, concert halls and houses of culture. With a number of exceptions (students and students abroad), all citizens of Moldova, upon returning to the country, must present a negative test for coronavirus, or go for a 2-week self-isolation. At the same time, on the 10th day of isolation, it will be possible to pass the test, and if it is negative, self-isolation can be stopped. The procedure for organizing the educational process will be adopted by local authorities jointly by the administration of schools and kindergartens, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the location. Aureliu Ciocoi noted that a "red" code of epidemiological danger has been introduced in almost all regions of Moldova (more than 100 cases of COVID-19 per 100 thousand inhabitants). The most difficult situation is in Chisinau, where the number of infected is almost 14 times higher than the level of infections, at which the "red" code is introduced (1460 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), followed by Anenii Noi (738 infected per 100 thousand), Ialoveni (589 ), Straseni (588), Briceni (560), etc. The Acting Prime Minister stressed the importance of a responsible approach of all citizens to overcome the pandemic and urged the population not to leave their homes unnecessarily, as well as to comply with all established rules for the non-proliferation of coronavirus.
