Moldova looks forward to active and constructive cooperation with the European Union in the tax sphere within the framework of the Fiscalis program - the State Tax Service

This was stated by Olga Golban, Director of the State Tax Service, who participated in the 7th plenary meeting of the TADEUS tax administrations in Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 4–5, together with the heads of tax administrations of Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden, as well as representatives of the Directorate General of Taxation (DG TAXUD). The aim of the event was to further develop cooperation between EU tax administrations at the highest level. According to the State Tax Service, this event annually brings together heads and deputy heads of tax administrations from EU member states, as well as representatives of the European Commission, to discuss combating tax fraud and tax evasion, ensuring effective tax collection, and reducing the tax gap. This year, candidate countries and potential candidates, including Moldova, participated for the first time. In her speech, the Director of the State Tax Service noted that participation in this meeting is a great honor and privilege for Moldova, as it is also an exceptional opportunity to learn from the experience of EU member states and prepare for full integration into the European Union. "We are deeply grateful for this opportunity to participate in an event initially designed for tax administrations of EU member states and later expanded to include candidate countries and potential candidates," she said. Olga Golban also expressed gratitude for the support and the opportunity to share examples of best practices and effective approaches to addressing tax administration challenges. "I firmly believe that together we can continue to advance innovation, transparency, and efficiency in tax administration across Europe. We thank you for this opportunity and assure you of Moldova's firm commitment to active and constructive cooperation within the Fiscalis Program.
