Moldova's service exports demonstrated steady growth in January-September 2025, confirming the sector's growing role in supporting economic growth and diversifying the national economy - the Ministry of Economic Development

As noted by the ministry, in real terms, service exports grew by 9.7% during this period, contributing 1.4 percentage points to the 2% GDP growth over the same period. This positive trend underscores the services sector's resilience and growing competitiveness in foreign markets. Service exports accounted for approximately 16% of GDP and exceeded goods exports by approximately 5%, strengthening the service sector's position as the main driver of Moldova's foreign trade. The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization notes that available data confirms the transition to a service-led economic growth model, with an emphasis on knowledge-intensive, highly skilled, and high-tech industries. "In this context, it is crucial that public policy continue to support the development of human capital, the digitalization of the economy, the improvement of the business climate, and the promotion of the internationalization of Moldovan services in order to fully exploit the potential of this strategic sector," the industry agency stated. // 06.01.2026 — InfoMarket
