The National Bank of Moldova has put into circulation a commemorative coin entitled “Moldova in the Single Euro Payments Area”
The commemorative silver coin with a face value of 100 lei has been issued in a limited edition of 2,500 pieces. It has a diameter of 35 mm and weighs 22 g. The reverse side of the coin features a contour map of Moldova in the center, a stylized color image of the SEPA logo, and a collection of electronic systems in the background. The coin will be put into circulation on December 19 as a means of payment and for numismatic purposes. The commemorative coin comes with a certificate of authenticity and is sold to the public by the National Bank, as well as by licensed banks, which independently set the sale price of the commemorative coin, but no more than 3% of the price set by the National Bank.
