The State Tax Service reported a new record for tax revenues to the state budget in a single day, which amounted to 1.5 billion lei on March 25 and set a new historical high

As noted in the State Tax Service’s statement, this is the highest figure for tax revenues to the treasury in a single day to date. Compared to the same day last year, when approximately 1.32 billion lei in taxes were collected, the amount collected on March 25, 2026, increased by 15.47%. At the same time, compared to the 2024 figure, the growth amounted to 28.28%, confirming the positive trend toward improved tax compliance. The State Tax Service notes that tax revenues to the budget as of March 25, 2026, accounted for approximately 40% of the total state budget revenues for March, which stood at approximately 3.87 billion lei as of March 25. This result reflects both the increased responsibility of taxpayers and the ongoing efforts of the State Tax Service aimed at ensuring effective, transparent, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration. In this context, the State Tax Service sincerely thanks taxpayers for their participation and for their significant contribution to budget revenues, noting that every contribution represents a direct investment in Moldova’s development and the well-being of its citizens. At the same time, the State Tax Service urges taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations in full and on time, as every leu (MDL) paid contributes to strengthening the national economy and implementing social programs aimed at the public good. // 26.03.2026 – InfoMarket.
