
Since the beginning of 2025, the State Tax Service has collected 32.9 billion lei for the national public budget, which is 4 billion lei (13.7%) more than in the same period last year
According to the weekly reporting of the State Tax Service, the largest amount of revenues administered by the State Tax Service from January 1 to June 6 was transferred to the state budget - 13.14 billion lei and to the state social insurance budget - 12.03 billion lei, which is 11.2% and 14.9%, respectively, higher than in the same period last year. Compulsory health insurance funds accumulated 4.04 billion lei (+16.7%), and revenues to local budgets administered by the State Tax Service amounted to 3.7 billion lei (+15.7%). The STS report notes that, in particular, from June 2 to 6, the national public budget revenues administered by the State Tax Service amounted to about 1.5 billion lei. During this period, tax inspectors made 240 visits to 204 taxpayers in order to stimulate voluntary compliance by taxpayers with their obligations. Only in the last week, STS employees issued 99 decisions on cases of violation of the law, for which additional obligations to the budget were calculated in the amount of 5.28 million lei. Also, as a result of inspections carried out using the operational control method, 87 violation reports were drawn up and fines in the amount of 118 thousand lei were imposed. To pay off tax liabilities of taxpayers with debts, from June 2 to 6, the STS collected 39.52 million lei using forced collection methods. Over the past week, the State Tax Service also opened 18 cases with confiscated goods worth 495.11 thousand lei.
