
The Moldovan Finance Ministry is collecting business proposals on tax and customs policies for 2026, which are to be adopted by July
This was announced by Finance Minister Victoria Belous, who, together with the director of the State Tax Service, Olga Golban, participated in a meeting organized by the European Business Association (EBA), alongside representatives of business and authorities, to discuss the priorities of the tax policy for 2026. According to the Ministry of Finance, the event provided a platform for an open dialogue, where the proposals of the business community on the amendment of the Tax Code and the Customs Code were considered, in order to create a fair and predictable tax and customs policy. The discussions highlighted a number of important aspects, including VAT refunds and deduction of advances, the VAT system for SMEs, elimination of unfair approaches from the Tax Code, fiscal support for green investments and waste management, adjustment of VAT rates for agri-food products and fair tax regime of the waste treatment sector. Victoria Belous reiterated the Ministry of Finance's commitment to support a competitive and sustainable fiscal system based on transparency, fairness and continuous consultation with the business environment. As noted, the Ministry of Finance remains committed to promoting fiscal policies aimed at encouraging investment, ensuring fairness in taxation and supporting sustainable economic growth.
