As reported by the State Tax Service, these two sectors will be under special attention of tax officials in connection with the celebration of International Women's Day. In particular, on March 7-8, the State Tax Service will conduct operational inspections of taxpayers; this measure is aimed at ensuring compliance with tax laws, preventing cases of undocumented transactions and misuse of cash register equipment, ensuring fair and objective assessment of taxpayers' compliance with tax laws. Previous monitoring of the HoReCa sector showed that the risks of non-compliance remain high. Thus, in February, the SFS conducted 111 tax audits of taxpayers in this sector, resulting in 55 cases of violations of the legislation revealed. The violators were fined: tax sanctions - 261 thousand lei, fines for offenses - 58 thousand lei. The SFS urges economic agents to issue checks for each transaction, use cash registers, correctly declare income and pay taxes in time. At the same time, the SFS urges citizens to demand a tax receipt for every purchase, regardless of its value. The check is proof of purchase and a way to protect consumer rights; it contributes to the reduction of the informal economy and ensures tax fairness, supports the development of a fair and competitive business environment. // 05.03.2025 - InfoMarket
