Smuggling of 230 thousand counterfeit cigarettes and almost 300 liters of ethyl alcohol was detained in Moldova.
According to the Customs Service, cigarettes of 3 Moldovan brands, counterfeited in Ukraine, and ethyl alcohol were intended for sale in Romania. Customs and PCCOCS officers seized the goods after searching the 60-year-old man's home and car. They also seized mobile phones and a vehicle used to transport the smuggling. According to the preliminary version, the goods were transported in adapted areas of minibuses that followed international routes, and the driver reported at the border that he was transporting gravel, sand, coal or grain. It is noted that this is not the first such crime of the suspect.
