100 companies that demonstrated a high level of voluntary compliance with tax laws received certificates of trust from the State Tax Service.
The most honest taxpayers were awarded at a specially organized event on Monday on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the founding of the tax authority of Moldova. They were awarded for their contribution to promoting fiscal discipline and compliance with tax obligations. Certificate holders are exempt for the next 2 years from the date of delivery from general and thematic tax audits initiated by the tax authorities, provided that they do not change their tax behavior. The companies were selected according to several criteria: over the last three tax periods they had no tax violations, they did not incur debts to the budgets, and no enforcement measures against tax obligations were applied to them over the last year; they have received income for the last 3 years; the amount of annual tax liability accrued for the audited periods was at least 10% of the total declared income; the salary was higher than the average in the economy; they complied with the deadlines for submitting tax reports and calculating contributions to the budget of state social insurance and mandatory health insurance, and tax control was not carried out in their respect using indirect methods and sources for assessing tax liabilities.
