As a result of the State Tax Service's monitoring, on March 7-8, revenues in the HoReCa sector amounted to about 7.2 million lei, and in the flower trade - 7 million lei.

The State Tax Service (STS) reported this, noting that during this period, the activity of 30 restaurants and cafes and 69 taxpayers selling flowers in Chisinau and Balti municipalities was checked. The actions undertaken by the STS on March 7-8 were not aimed at imposing sanctions, but at controlling the compliance of taxpayers in the HoReCa sector and trade in flowers with the legislation in force, in order to prevent transactions without cash register equipment. Monitoring was carried out throughout the activities of the units, until the end of their work, with a selective reconciliation of payments with issued checks and obtaining explanations from employees. STS urges all taxpayers to comply with tax laws and issue cashier's checks for cash payments, and customers to request a receipt when purchasing goods or services, thus contributing to increased tax compliance. STS stated that it will continue monitoring activities in all areas with an increased risk of allowing violations of cash discipline. // 12.03.2024 - InfoMarket.
