Moldovan citizens will be able to request confirmation of income received in the territory of the country for any tax period starting from 2007.
The State Tax Service (STS) has approved a new Regulation on the issuance of confirmation of income received in Moldova by individuals - citizens of the country. The confirmation of income can be requested for any tax period starting from 2007 and will be issued by the STS within 5 working days from the moment of submitting the application. In order to receive the confirmation, some supporting documents (copy of the contract of sale of housing, car, etc.) must be attached to the application. Taxable incomes received by Moldovan citizens will be identified on the basis of information available in the STS information system, and in case of incomes received from non-taxable sources of income - on the basis of data in supporting documents. The confirmation of income does not include income received from sources outside Moldova in the form of dividends, interest and royalties, as well as the income of individuals derived from entrepreneurial activity.
