The State Tax Service will optimize some reports so that taxpayers do not have to duplicate data that are already available in tax databases.

This was announced by the Director General of the State Tax Service (STS) Petru Rotaru at the Taxcon-2023 conference. He noted that the STS intends to maximize the benefits of digitalization and exclude some items in reports to facilitate the work of accountants and generally simplify the reporting of business to the state. "There is a rather complex and voluminous declaration on the payment of local fees T1, in it the STS requests a lot of information that we already have. For example, for the fee for the improvement of the territory it is necessary to indicate the number of employed workers, but this data is already available," said Petru Rotaru, emphasizing that some reports will be abolished altogether, for example, the report on the fee for the use of roads - as all the data is available in the Public Services Agency, and the fee must be paid at the time of inspection. Petru Rotaru reported on the automation of some processes, for example, in the case of repayment of debts the economic agent will not need to write applications for renewal or restoration of the account - this process will happen automatically. It is planned to increase from 3 to 5 the maximum allowable number of employees of taxpayers (individual entrepreneurs and peasant/farming farms) who submit a single tax report; social insurance reporting will be simplified; VAT reporting will be amended to provide the taxpayer with as many pre-filled data as possible. In particular, according to Petru Rotaru, VAT reporting will automatically reflect import and export information, data on deliveries from e-factura and data from MEV (Electronic Sales Monitoring system). In the near future, according to the STS Director, it is planned to abolish daily reporting Z for all taxpayers connected to MEV and to abolish the cash register journal - these data will be available online. The STS Director noted the important changes in the field of local taxes and fees, which are taking place, among other things, as a result of dialog with businesses. "All information on local fees, with decisions of local councils, is available in a separate section on the STS website (Acte emise de către AAPL Serviciul Fiscal de Stat (sfs.md)). Now this information can be easily found, checked, correctly calculated," Petru Rotaru said, emphasizing that there is still a lot of work to be done to abolish unclear rules and common interpretations, many aspects are still being worked on. // 22.09.2023 – InfoMarket
