The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, noting that the index decreased as a result of a 19.7% decrease in the volume of new constructions and a 22.5% decrease in the volume of capital repairs, by structural elements. At the same time during the analyzed period the volume of other construction works (demolition, preparation of the construction site for the following construction works) increased by 32.8%, while the volume of maintenance and current repairs increased by 20.6%. By construction objects, in January-June 2022, compared to the same period of 2021, the volume of construction work performed decreased (in comparable prices) in residential buildings (-22.4%), non-residential buildings (-8.2%) and engineering structures (-7.1%). According to NBS data, in particular, in Q2 2022 compared to the same period of 2021 the volume of construction works has decreased by 15.9% (in comparable prices) due to reduction, by structural elements, of the volume of new construction - by 29.3%, capital repair - by 32.2%, other works (demolition, site preparation works for further construction works) - by 19.2%. At the same time, the volume of maintenance and current repair works has increased by 47% as compared to Q2 2021. As to the objects of construction, in Q2 2022, as compared to the same period of 2021, there has been registered a decrease (in comparable prices) in the volume of construction works performed in residential buildings’ sector (-32.2%), non-residential buildings (-20.6%) and engineering structures (-0.4%). // 22.08.2022- InfoMarket.
